That is how it has come that in many senses, Europe is standing on its head. Campaigns against Cigarette smoking… advocates for the environment, and so forth.

THERE have been murmurs here and there about the arrest of girls not “properly” dressed on the streets of Lagos. Last week, I read a newspaper report of one of such incidents and I sighed in disgust: “so it’s true!”. The report said one of the ladies claimed to be a University of Lagos student returning home from school. She had her school identity card to show but that didn’t let her off the hook. She was bundled into the waiting police truck with a host of other ladies from all walks of life. Pity I thought to myself. But then again, I can’t really comprehend what her offence was? And what year are we in again, please remind me!

No vanity trip here, but it just occurred to me that it won’t be a bad idea to have a “shout-out” at visitors who may not speak English.

Hola todos, Me ha ocurido que de vez en cuando puede ser alguien que no hablar ingles, pasando un momento por estas paginas. Para estos tipos de personas, algunas palabras: Me llamo “Ginger” (bueno, tienes razon pensar que tipo de nombre es este: es suficiente por ahora). Soy nigeriano… si nigeriano como africano, muy moreno y tal… Trabajo como periodista y vivo en la ciudad de Lagos donde practicar mi profession. Estuve algun tiempo (muy corto en espana - Viva Espana!), pasando por Madrid (Sierra de Gredos), por Valencia y estando tres semanas en Vigo… ah si, tambien en Castellon. Asi, si quieres que traduzco algo en este pagina, dimelo. Nada mas por ahora. Dejarme un momento a hablar con mis amigos los italianos. —

Caro amici Gli Italiani, Mi scuzi si non sono molto bravo con la bella lingua Italiano! Bene, Io sono “Ginger”. Lo so, cualcuno puoi pensare chi tipi di nome e queste. Va! Mi sembra che puo essere basta per adesso… Sono nigeriano e abito nella cita de Lagos (Nigeria) dove lavoro come giornalisti. Questo e la mia “blog” dove mettere la mia piensero (a volte molte confuso). E stato en Italia un ano fa ma non basta per imparare bene la bella lingua! Va bene, voglio dire che si cualcuno ha una domanda sulla temi nella queste blog, nel nigeria, nel africa… chiedermi e ci vediamo si forse posso aiutare. Niente da fare. Ci vediamo. Ciao, ciao!
